Nintendo was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1889 as a manufacturer of hanafuda playing cards. The company went through several small niche businesses before becoming a video game company.
Nintendo of America has said they will be holding a Nintendo Direct tomorrow at 3pm PST (Separate from their press conference) . They have also confirmed they will be talking about Wii U during the Nintendo Direct.
Interesting of them to do this. It'll give them an opportunity to reveal details about the Wii U before Microsoft and Sony hold their press conferences on Monday. I wonder what sort of info they'll talk about and if the Wii U will be the only topic of the video.
