Nintendo was founded in Kyoto, Japan in 1889 as a manufacturer of hanafuda playing cards. The company went through several small niche businesses before becoming a video game company.
Nintendo to change its logo.
Wow thats really stupid, grey? what are they trying to appeal to? it`s not bright, doesn`t look fun....I`m confused on this one.
Not a fan of the gray, but whatever. It's not as drastic as it sounds or looks.

"Why? Why?! Wait is Nintendo going to change to the neutral color on GiantBomb now? Ugh..."In that case, almost everybody here is a Nintendo fanboy. Hold on... do I have a lizard tongue?
The 'gray' version has actually been the Nintendo logo for 2 years - there was no 'announcement' the other day. Kotaku clears it up.

"Does it really matter?....in all honesty Red or Grey doesn't bother me. Its the quality of games they should be focusing their time on, not logo changes like that."Worst thing is, I daresay more effort went into restyling the logo by consulting different consumer groups, departments and whatnot than went into the new Animal Crossing.
"Best comment from the article???Epic post!"They ran out of colored ink and no one wanted to go to staples""
