One of the most revered and prolific composers in gaming, Uematsu has helped define the emotional tone of the Final Fantasy series since its beginning. He plays rock renditions of his music for the band The Black Mages.
Recently after leaving Square, Nobuo Uematsu founded 'Smile Please' productions where he decided to compose as freelance. Since then he has worked mostly on Mistwalker Projects and has been composing the main themes for Final Fantasy games. Uematsu is sometimes referred to as the "John Williams of video game composers" as many of his scores give characters their own musical motifs, and are generally well received by fans.Nobuo Uematsu games
