    With the advent of "apps" for most home consoles and handhelds, this sort of product is quickly going by the wayside. Some vestiges of this idea remains in the way of exclusive items such as digital comics and other assorted software for the 3DS eShop.

    This concept does not cover universal applications such as Netflix or downloadable/preinstalled browsers.
