Normandy is a region in northern France. It's most famous for the Allied invasion that took place there on June 6, 1944.
Normandy is located on the coast of France just south of the English Channel. Normandy is most famous for its role in World War II being the largest aquatic invasion in history. 850,000 total troops stormed the beaches of Normandy throughout 1944. The United States, United Kingdom, France and Canada all sent troops into battle at Normandy. The allied invasion of Normandy France has played major roles in the Call of Duty franchise as well as the Medal of Honor franchise.Normandy games
