A fiery portal that bridges the mortal plane with the Daedric plane of Oblivion

These gates of Oblivion are portals that are opened linking the mortal world with the plains of Oblivion. These gates are big and bright which make them visible over long distances. When you approach a gate the sky turns red and the gate expels fire. There are big claw-like points that come out of the ground around the Oblivion Gate that are covered in a red liquid which is most likely blood. The gates are constantly letting Daedric monsters out of the plains of Oblvion and into

the mortal world where they attack citizens. Once you enter the gate there two ways out of the gate: the first is just walking back through the fiery portal and the second being the destruction of the gate by removing the power source which is the Sigil Stone.

There are sixteen Oblivion Gates that you can travel in and capture sigil stones in. When you beat the main story, all the gates are rendered dormant and do not allow you to go in them any longer.

SPOILER WARNING!

In the final gate, you and the armies of different towns fight waves of Daedra as new gates form until the main gate appears so you can get the final sigil stone. The main gate is practically one giant Oblivion plane with two large towers and one enormous one.
