This is amazing. Now South Park has been somehow converted into at least 6 different genres: RPG, Kart racer, FPS, Tower Defense, Platformer, and of course a quiz game.
You have my attention Obsidian.

Really excited to hear this. I still have fond memories of the last south park game I played on a console. That shooter on the n64 with multiplayer in that zero gravity dome was awesome.
Looking forward to it. Obsidian's games have always been diamonds in the rough, but I enjoy them nevertheless. Speaking of Obsidian, I still need to pick up Dungeon Siege 3.
Wow. I have the distinct feeling that if this doesn't sell well, Obsidian will close its doors. Hope they give me plenty of reason to buy it, but classically licensed games nearly ALWAYS suck (the single exception to the rule is a couple Beavis and Butthead adventure games).
edit: also why is the kid with diabetes whose name I don't know on the GI cover, but Jimmy Palmer isn't?

This never ends up being a good idea and only ever makes the game you're preparing for easier to get sick of and fall out of love with.Maybe it's because I played them side by side "replayed kotor 1 in time for 2".

I could not be any less interested in this game. It's actually impossible.
Obsidian, you don't make good original games. You do, however, make awesome (my opinion) sequels to existing franchises. Stick to that. Please.

I can almost feel the unfunny comedy already.
BUT MAN THEY'RE SO EDGY AND MAKE FUN OF EVERYONE THAT MAKES THEM FUNNY RIGHT!?
Is it the poop jokes?
I bet it's the poop jokes.
Unlike half the people in here, I'll give this game a chance. It could end up being one of the best games of 2012, y'all never know

No PC. Seriously?
What the-
Of all the cool things they could've announced, it's a South Park RPG for consoles. Ehhhhhhh...
Maaaaaan, I'm a little bummed. I wish that Obsidian could make another, not as busted Alpha Protocol instead. I liked that game quite a lot.
@ajamafalous:
Game Informer is a business and the game magazine thing is on shaky ground. If a guy comes to their door with a competent game and a bag of money, I do not fault them for giving it a cover. That being said, this could be pretty good as long as they put some heart into it. The N64 game was pretty bad bad not good.

@Animasta: Name a funnier cartoon that would make a better game than this and sell as well? No? Nothing at all?
a funnier cartoon? I don't think any really "funny" cartoons would be a good game. a better cartoon? Avatar: The Last Airbender RPG would be the best thing ever
Obsidian + South Park = things that are completely awesome, but are just skirting the edge of being completely incoherent. No matter what the results are, I win.
