One piece unlimited adventure, unlimited cruise and unlimited cruise 2 were fantastic games. Open world action RPGs with metroidvania elements, ressource gathering, cool crafting systems and hella fan service. They were much better and deeper than anyone could've expected from a licensed game. When I saw the new one piece: pirate warriors games I thought '' well this is much more in line with my expectations for licensed games''. I thought the streak of great one piece games was over and we would be stuck with lazy dynasty warriors clones until the end of time.
But then I saw that a new entry in the unlimited series was in the works I got really exited. After looking at a bunch of youtube videos I'm not sure what to think anymore. The combat seems a lot more dynamic but I fear they've dropped most of the open world and exploration aspects. So does anyone know what the structure of the game (PS3 and WiiU versions) is actually like? I'm really hoping they kept most of the stuff that made those Wii games awesome and unique.
