Overview
Otaku Publishing, Ltd. is a UK distributor founded in 1995 that is based in London and operates an online storefront that specializes in selling imported Japanese media, such as anime, manga, music CDs and games [4]. During the late 1990s, the company began localizing various adult Japanese PC games into English, and sometimes German/French as well, branded as "Bishojo-Manga PC CD-ROM." All of their titles were released in the United States by JAST USA with their most famous title being the Japanese simulation game called True Love, released around 1998-1999 in Europe and North America [8][10][12]. In the 2000s, Otaku gave up on selling their PC titles due to low sales and wide spread piracy of their products [9].
