hit me

EDIT: Gameplay from the quicklook looked a little bit slower than this... I'll keep an eye out. Also its funny
I didn't realize there was a single player element to the game

Seems really cool.

Not a fan of trailers that have a character say the name and release date, though.  Kills immersion!

Looks awesome!

This definitely has a Patapon Art Style to it. I like it and look forward to seeing more.

Wonder if Sony paid for the day of exclusivity?
transienceon April 13, 2011 at 6:01 p.m.
yeah, I heard Sony paid Microsoft for the ability to put out content on Tuesdays. :)

I can't wait for this game. this and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, man.

Wow, this is cut like a movie trailer. Well, the sound anyways. Played the video, opened a new tab real quick, and I thought I was listening to a movie trailer.

Nothing sinister... The Playstation Store just updates on Tuesdays. Xbox Marketplace is on Wednesdays

Downloadable games aren't day and date across the platforms?

The gameplay looks Ikaruga inspired, but the art style and animation just scream Patapon.

I will say this much, very nice art work, very nice. This game looks good, in it's visual presentation.

That was a really, cliche bad trailer.

I've had 2000 points on my live account sitting unused for months, finally something to get with them, this looks awesome!

the game looks pretty cool but that trailer didn't feel very inspired at all.
Psynapseon April 13, 2011 at 8:48 p.m.
This looks like a 2d version of Prince of Persia... looks cool though.
vinsanityv22on April 13, 2011 at 8:49 p.m.
I love the Mayan/Tribal Silhouette style of the game. And something about it gives off a very old school Prince of Persia/Out of this World/Flashback vibe. It looks great, even if the Quick Look looked more boring.
But seriously Giant Bomb - can SOMEONE please remember Silhouette Mirage? You keep saying stuff like, "Imagine if ikaruga were a stylish platformer?". But Treasure MADE A PLATFORMER WITH THAT MECHANIC BEFORE DOING IKARUGA! And that game was Silhouette Mirage; an under-appreciated gem that's basically a very charming, very difficult mix of a bunch of Treasure's other games. Namely, Gunstar Heroes, Ikaruga, and Mischief Makers.

@transience:  My god I want ITSP so bad it hurts...  Perhaps Outland will assuage my mental trauma.
