Owain's character portrait

Owain is the son of Lissa from the future, making him the nephew of Chrom and cousin of Lucina. He behaves bizarrely, doing things like shouting out fighting techniques he has made up and giving his weapons over-the-top names, akin to how an over-imaginative child or teenager would imitate their favorite hero. His birthday is July 15.

As a descendant of the Ylissean Royal Family, Owain bears the Mark of the Exalt somewhere on his body, in his case on his arm. Because the mark never appeared on Lissa's body, the thought that it might not appear on her son was something that weighed heavily on her future self. According to Owain, when she first saw the mark appearing on his body, she became so overjoyed that she laughed and cried uncontrollably for a full hour.

Despite them being blood-related cousins in every possible configuration, Owain can enter in a romantic relationship with Lucina. The English localization works around this by listing them as Companions rather than spouses.

As a Myrmidon, Owain can promote to a Swordmaster or an Assassin.
