    Panzerfaust

Object » linked to 20 games

The Panzerfaust (tank fist in German) was a man-portable, disposable, anti-tank weapon developed by the Germans in WWII. It was powerful enough to penetrate the armor of any Allied armored vehicle in the war, provided the operator could get close enough to fire it.

    Short summary describing this thing.

The first disposable, anti-tank weapon the Panzerfaust was the German answer to the American bazooka rocket launcher in WWII.  Deadly against all forms of allied armor during the span of the war, the Panzerfaust was somewhat handicapped by it's short effective range.  It's capture and reverse-engineering by Soviet forces during the war led directly to the production of the RPG-7.  In video game environments, the panzerfaust typically pops up in WWII-themed games, either as a rocket launcher equivalent in FPS games, or as a way to lend Axis soldiers some anti-armor punch in strategy games.
