An amazing RPG experience on the Nintendo 64 0

Paper Mario is the second Mario RPG to be released. The first, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, was released back in 1996 for the SNES, and it was an amazing game. It strayed away from the platforming that Mario is known best for. To go to an RPG type of gamplay and stay true to Mario is amazing. Square helped develop the game, so it's no surprise that it was great.Paper Mario was developed by Intelligent Systems, and the gameplay is very different from the SNES counterpart, as well ...

    Pure fun. 0

Every once in a while a game comes along that just makes you... happy.GameplayIf you've played Super Mario RPG, this game will feel very familiar. It's the basic jrpg layout with action commands to involve the player more in the battle. The only thing that REALLY makes it stand out is the fun, memorable boss battles. They can be tough, they have great (and unique for every boss) music, and very interesting characters to battle against. The only problem is that the non-boss fights can get repetit...

Makes you laugh and smile in ways you'll never forget. 0

Positive: - great RPG elements - excellent graphics and sound - just makes you smile - pretty lengthy adventure - fun to play -Negative: nothing worth notingPaper Mario is an amazing game. It was among the last games to come out on the Nintendo 64, and it's almost a shame it didn't get pushed back a bit and put on GameCube so the visuals could have been a bit better. Playing Paper Mario will be one of the most unforgettable gaming experiences you'll ever have. The creative paper world is great, ...

    Paper Mario Review 0

Preconceived notions of kiddie aesthetics aside, Paper Mario is one of the best games of its generation. With its pleasant appearance, endearing characters, various references to and areas from its predecessor (Legend of the Seven Stars), and solid gameplay, it's one of those games that people will remember for years to come. Not being one of those who've played Legend of the Seven Stars, I'll sum up the references to the best of my ability, Mt. Lavalava and Gusty Gulch are both areas in SMRPG,...

Paper was never this Fun 0

Paper Mario is a turned based RPG starring your favorite plumber, Mario.Story: Paper Mario's story is as follows: Bowser steals the star rod (star rod? from Kirby?!) from star haven because the star spirits wouldn't grant any of his wishes. Somehow he gets his castle directly under Peach's, (just go with it) defeats Mario, (with the help of the star rod) and raises it up into space. Mario awakens to a voice telling him to go to shooting star summit, when he gets there he learns he must rescue th...

A great game that trims the fat off of your typical JRPG. 0

I didn't own an SNES when I was a kid, so when I saw screenshots of Paper Mario in Nintendo Power, I thought it looked like garbage. I had played games like Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Goldeneye, so when I saw these 2D character models in a 3D world I thought the game would be awful. However, the only RPG I had played at the time was Pokemon, so I didn't realize the main appeal of this type of game was the story and character development. Nonetheless, I played the game anyway and instantly fe...

Paper Mario was a blast to play. 0

I loved Paper Mario, from the fun battle system (that had a strange amount of depth to it) to the weird storyline / characters, to the charming graphics, it was a blast to play. I had a few complaints but nothing to harsh that brought the game down or anything. I liked Thousand Year Door loads better, since the storyline was so much crazier, and the battle system was overall improved, but I like this game much more than Mario RPG since it had a better battle system, crazier storyline and a much ...
