he PC-FX was made by NEC with Hudson Soft and it was the 32-bit sequel to TurboGrafx-16. It unfortunately never made sales outside Japan, but is well known amongst collectors. The PC-FX used CDs as opposed to the TG16's use of cartridges.

The unusual feature displayed in the PC-FX is its computer-like design. It stands upright like a tower computer. Another feature was its 3 expansion ports.

The PC-FX was not designed to be a 3D system like most other 32-bit consoles. It more focused on FMV (Full Motion Video) and 2D graphics.
