You like the Gamecube-controller the best? Um okay.

The 360 controller is by far the best one, but if you don't like it I guess you could go with the PS3, both Sixaxis and Dualshock work. All other PC-only controllers are quite subpar to the official console ones.

Buy the 360 wired controller and you can use that. Or any PS3 controller and you can just plug them in and they work. All the made for pc controllers are pretty shabby and bad. Just buy them if you don't mind the price tag or want quality.

I'm using the logitec cordless rumble pad 2 and it works great for street fighter and other games. However the button layout isn't the same as the xbox360's controller, might have problems with certain games.

I have this one and it works great. I've heard complaints that the analog sticks stop working eventually, but they work fine for me... I don't use them much though.

    For the average game:

(or just the 360 wired package, whatever's cheapest where you are)

    For the retro/2D/fighting game:

(eBay's your best bet, beware of imitations and scams)

You say you dont like the 360 controller because its big,  but Im pretty sure the GameCube contraoller is just as big.

If its the wieght you dont like, then the wired controller is quite light.

Some of the logitech controllers are very good.

You don't like the 360 controller? That's a little strange. I really can't think of an alternative that are that great.

the reason i don´t like the 360 one is because it´s to big and the gamecube controller is A lot smaller

Did you ever use the original Xbox "Duke" controller.

Anyway the old retro genesis style ones are great.

The madcatz 3rd party is the perfect size bigger than the PS3 smaller than the 360.
Works perfectly on pc using the xbcd drivers. Very nice to hold.

Sounds like you're using excuses from 10 years ago..
The original Xbox controller was huge..  but they fixed that with the 'S' pad, which was fine.
The 360 controller is pretty much perfect, and is no bigger than the Gamecube/PS2 pad.

    womg huge

It's by far the best game controller out there.  (save for a somewhat wonky d-pad)

Well obviously he doesn't think it's perfect... The Gamecube controller may be the same overall size, but the grip definitely feels smaller.

I've got this very model...it's not great if I'm honest. Comfortable to hold but the analog and the d-pad is a little off.

Hey everyone get off his back about the 360 controller. Dude doesn't like it. That's it. He doesn't want an argument. I personally love the GC controller even though everyone says it sucks. Loved the button layout and it was super comfortable.

" The Logitech Precision Gamepad 2 is a good choice if you're looking for a wired controller. I'm personally using wireless controllers for my controller-benefiting PC stuff, and I'm using the Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, and I really like it.

If you need something with analog sticks, there's also this or this. "
I'm using the Cordless Rumblepad 2 as well, and I like it even if it gets minimal use.
