I like Windows a lot more than Macs, but I have to say, that Mac ad was pretty good, while that Windows ad was pretty lame. Of course I'm getting tired of the "I'm a PC" commercials, but you have to admit, that's probably the best one in like... years, at this point.

Except for that "It's not going to have any of the problems Windows XP had" part. Nobody ever fucking said that, Windows XP was great.

Has it been said that the notion that you can't use a two-button mouse (or 4, or 5, or 7 button) on a mac is completely ridiculous? Because it is. I used the Logitech MX Revolution for the past 2 years, and every single one of the buttons was programmed to do what I wanted it to.

@Gunner: I just read my warranty for my mac.  I am free to upgrade it myself with whatever I want, but if any damage is caused in the process it will not be covered.  I don't know where people get the idea that you can't put better hardware in a mac.  There are tons of tutorials on youtube showing how you can replace batteries, ram, hard drives, etc.

Same, and now I'm using the new Apple Magic Mouse, and the price is the only think keeping it from being orgasm inducing to handle.

    I couldn't agree more.

    YES

Mac products are fine, albeit horrendously ovepriced, right up until apple or somebody with a mac opens their mouth

How does it feel after hours of use? the mouse looks really sleek, and i was wondering if it strains your hands / fingers. I currently use a white Logitech mouse with Blue-Tooth.

All the nonsense reminds me of the Wii vs PS3 ad that G4 made to make fun of the Mac vs Windows commercials.

Actually if you can remember when XP came out there were alot of complaints about it. People said it was too bloated and there wasn't enough privacy with the computer always sending info to microsoft and what not.

It's really since the OS lasted 7 years and people got to use to it that this unnatural love of XP showed up. Which only helped stoke the fire against Vista.

Oh. Well, I honestly don't remember hearing any kinds of complaints like that.

" What I don't like about Mac ads is, they're dishonest and sleazy. Do windows ads mention Mac's lack of compatibility with most productivity and entertainment software? Do they mention how you have to buy hardware at triple the market price to use it? Or how about its complete lack of features for high-end users? Windows has the confidence to do its own thing, and do it well; Mac ads are like the type of ads politicians who know they can't win an election use to gain some marginal amount of leverage. Desperate, pitiful.  "
With the percentage of the market they own, they don't have to

I like the second ad better, but that's just because most of the scenes are blatantly filmed in Seattle

I used to find those "Get A Mac" ads clever. But, I felt that first ad indirectly insulted the ones they're trying to convert. Almost as if to call PC users unenlightened sheep.

I think Apple should work a new advertising campaign. I don't think they'll ever let Microsoft live down Vista.

I'm one of the very few people in the world that finds Apple to be very immature, I'm sorry it is, you don't see WWE taken shots at TNA all the time (its the other way around btw) I makes them look like a 2nd rate company with their ads and commercials.
