The PC (Personal Computer) is a highly configurable and upgradable gaming platform that, among home systems, sports the widest variety of control methods, largest library of games, and cutting edge graphics and sound capabilities.
Game suggestions for new PC owner.
if you like action-RPG then you should definitely get Fallout 3 for PC when it comes out. Crysis Warhead.. World In Conflict.
You should invest in both Half-Life and Half-Life 2. The other Valve games are great as well, but these are the two staples you must play.
Also, Diablo/Diablo II. Both are great, but I'd suggest the second game.
"Go for The Witcher, Wrold in Conflict is only good for single player IMO and the single player storyline is a lot shorter than The Witcher. Thanks for al the suggestions:)I think I have limited it down to Crysis,TF2,and either World in Conflict or The Witcher.BTW i forgot to mention i have a copy of Diablo 2 waiting to be installed so that's enough to keep me busy.

"Team Fortress 2 (from the Orange Box). This is one game you'll probably get hooked and addicted to. It's awesome. If you need a server suggestion, PM me, we have a great server up and running."this is true. TF 2 is REALLY awesome on PC. definitely get Steam (if you don't have it) and get TF 2.
The Witcher, The Orange Box. I wouldn't get Crysis if i were you, i cant comment on Crysis Warhead since I haven't played it but i personally wouldnt buy Crysis, The orange box has Half Life and TF which are both better shooters imo. I do highly recomend The Witcher though, and get the enhanced edition.
What type of game do you like to play? I'd say finding games that fit your style is far more important than finding new games (of course new games that fit your style are the best....)
The Witcher is a real under the radar smash hit. It says right on the back of the box, "There is no good or evil, only decisions and consequences..." And that's exactly right. You make a choice and the outcome doesn't become immediatly apparent until much later in the game, The Witcher is a really great game for people who believe that nothing is black and white.
The combat is also really great, it is based on a series of rhythms that take some skill and when executed properly can produce some massively brutal effects. I highly reccomend it.
Ahem...
Audiosurf (it's available on steam) for under $10 (maybe even under $5)
it is teh awesome...
Enjoy.
