Hey all, i just bought a new PC,it has all the bells and whistles and stuff like that,awesome video card,great processor and sound card,etc.My question is,what are 3 recent games i have to have.Thanks.

if you like action-RPG then you should definitely get Fallout 3 for PC when it comes out. Crysis Warhead.. World In Conflict.

Half-Life 2 if you haven't already played it via Console Orange Box

Orange Box, CoD4 and the original STALKER.  It's not exactly NEW anymore.  But if you haven't played it, you should! 

Orange Box, COD4, STALKER, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, The Witcher, World in Conflict, Dead Space, STALKER Clear Sky are all great games that spring to mind.

You should invest in both Half-Life and Half-Life 2.  The other Valve games are great as well, but these are the two staples you must play.

Also, Diablo/Diablo II.  Both are great, but I'd suggest the second game.

Skip over Oblivion and get Morrowind. :)

Team Fortress 2, with all the updates out already and more coming soon a good time to get on the wagon.

The Witcher, The Orange Box. I wouldn't get Crysis if i were you, i cant comment on Crysis Warhead since I haven't played it but i personally wouldnt buy Crysis, The orange box has Half Life and TF which are both better shooters imo. I do highly recomend The Witcher though, and get the enhanced edition.

i'm starting to think I should buy the witcher too...lots of good feedback on that game.

What type of game do you like to play? I'd say finding games that fit your style is far more important than finding new games (of course new games that fit your style are the best....)

I believe STALKER: Clear Sky is standalone, but I may be mistaken.

The Witcher is a real under the radar smash hit. It says right on the back of the box, "There is no good or evil, only decisions and consequences..." And that's exactly right. You make a choice and the outcome doesn't become immediatly apparent until much later in the game, The Witcher is a really great game for people who believe that nothing is black and white.

The combat is also really great, it is based on a series of rhythms that take some skill and when executed properly can produce some massively brutal effects. I highly reccomend it.

I would say both STALKER games, wait a few weeks for Left 4 Dead and obviously The Orange Box if you haven't played it yet...and I can mention plenty of much older games if you're just getting into PC gaming now.
