I'm getting a new TV tomorrow and I'm going to be plugging in my PC to play some purdy games and watch some HD movies on it and I was wondering if there is anything out there which would look suitably fantastic in 1080p?
I would also very much prefer stuff that can use a 360 controller rather than a mouse and keyboard :)

Mini Ninjas is extremely adorable and just purely B-E-A-UTIFUL
When set up to the highest settings Trine has a very vibrant and saturated look to it. It's also fairly cheap on Steam.

" You don't really want to use a TV for a PC, monitors will always look better "When comparing a huge TV with even a 23'' monitor, the TV will look better. However, if they are the same size, or withing 6'', then yes I agree that a monitor will look better.
This is not the case- most computer monitors, at least decent ones, will have a wider color gamut, more accurate color calibration, lower pixel pitch and better contrast ratio than LCD tvs, not to mention a far higher native resolution. This is why a 30" monitor will likely cost several times what a 30" TV does." @PeasForFees said:

Every game I have for the pc looks really good. I guess you should try resident evil 5, crysis on very high with vista, not crysis warhead, textures are sort of shit. Any multiplatform game like batman arkham asylum would be sharp. Honestly everything looks sharper and has better textures on pc compared to consoles, most games should be already good enough.
I thought mirrors edge was also a good looking game on the pc. If you tried everything already on the pc, at least the games will look alot different at 1080p resolution.
Oh right, I just thought of this now, what about arma 2? you can't complain about the graphics since it looks like a military sim realistic game. The graphics does look quite real at times.
