Macs are useless for gaming. Forget about it. They're all flashy, and they don't offer any significant features over Windows.

Go for the second one, the graphics card is a lot better.

If you want to play games, it's obvious that a MAC is a no no, but even then you can get what a MAC do with the right software on any computer, without having the overpriced hardware.

Yeah if your into gaming at all a mac wouldn`t be a decision of mine.
If your going for gaming get the M1530, the 8600gt is quite better then the HD3450.

A Macbook PRO with bootcamp can handle Window games just as well as any other Windows machine.

No, it can't, because Macbooks generally do not have the hardware to do so. Additionally, there is substantial overhead when one does run it in Bootcamp.

Well if you dual boot a mac pro with both windows and leopard, it's quite fast. It's the same as if you would install windows on any other system. There have been tests that show this.

Nevermind guys I went with the Studio 15 since I had to choose fast... but is the M1530 that better than the Studio 15? :( shit, I guess I made the wrong decision. :x And I like Macs but I wanted a Laptop for gaming and because it will help me for college. and is the ATI HD 3450 really bad compared with the nVidia 8600? I thought they were the same since both were 256 mb. :/

Well, from what I've read of the rankings, it's considerably worse...

Laptops are generally no good for gaming anyway. Unless you go extremely over the top and buy a super expensive laptop, its never going to have an amazing gaming experience.

Not sure which of those laptops has the better graphics chip.  Here's a great link that describes every laptop graphics chip:

You should also check out the latest Gateway gaming laptop.  It's got great parts and at an affordable price.  It was recently reviewed on both Anandtech and Cnet.  It's called the gateway-p-7811fx.

I know people who've been able to do it for as little as $1200. Desktops are a lot better, but you can still do it. I don't even know if Macbooks can do it, and if they could, it would take a lot more cash.

be careful, I gamed on a laptop once and it didn't take long at all for it to overheat.  I learned then to just not even bother, the heat was too much for the graphics card to take i guess.

With tha PC forget about gaming lol,the HD3450 is a piece of shit..it can't even run farcry at solid 30fps.that graphics card is good for video editing and streaming high resolution videos.

you didnt show the harddrive of the second one. but if they are both the same (which it looks like) id get the one on the bottom, graphix is betta. but i dont know what they are priced at.

Well the Studio 15 doesn`t look to bad, just won`t be as good for gaming, but not many laptops are.
