    just ordered the following:

    Asus P5Q Pro mobo
    Vantec ION2 600w psu
    Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro CPU cooler.

    got em all for a steal.

    Next thing to buy is a decent CPU, any recommendations?
    I was thinking perhaps an E7500 and OC-ing it, or save a bit more and get an E8500 and OC that? what should i do?

    Same motherboard here, one of the best and most reliable boards I've run. I'm running on an E8400, but I can't say anything for its overclockability. Just that it's a decent CPU.


    If you're feeling adventurous maybe a Q6600 though.

    @Lunarbunny: thanks man, i was thinking quad but not sure about reliability and OC ability. Do you have any pointers on quad OCing?
