Either that or it sounds like a horse being slaughtered. Whenever I record on the pc with something such as fraps, the audio results with it sounding like it's a mile away in a tunnel.

The same type of sound comes one when I test a mic in a steam game. Even if I don't have one plugged in, it starts making these weird sounds that gets louder and louder.

I thought that there was some sort of secret mic in the computer picking up sounds, because in Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (where you can give commands through the mic) commands started going off even though everything was quiet (and no mic plugged in).
