Hey guys, im going to get a game off steam tonight, and im wondering which one.  
Batman, or Total War. I cant decide! 
 
Iv played the demo of Batman, and i loved it. I have also played every Total War up to Empire, and im wondering if its worth getting?

both very good games, depends on what your in the mood for, etw will last you longer but batman is a great experience not to be missed

Empire's come a long way since launch, but its stability is still a bit questionable. I personally haven't been hit by any serious problems, but there are still reports of CTDs and other technical problems. Just something to consider.
 
I'd get Empire just because of the 50% slash it's currently having, but Batman's pretty damn awesome.

I'm fine with the hours that batman will provide, iv got an mmo to hold me down once its finished :)

This is a really odd choice. They aren't even remotely similar, so it's tough to tell you which to get. Since we don't really know what you like and don't like, then it's really just a toss up.
 
You said you've played every Total War game yet, and it's going for 50% off on Steam right now, so that definitely seems like a good choice. With that money saved you could get Batman later on even quicker (and probably cheaper).
 
So... I guess I'd go with Empire.

ETW if you like turn based and real time strategy. Batman if you like action games.

ETW is definitely worth a purchase but then again so is Batman.
 
What I will say however, is that ETW is one of those games you will be enticed to replay over and over again, for months, perhaps years after your purchase it, and will get even better with patching and the good MOD support the Total War community has. 
 
Batman's a good game, but will serve you just fine if you rent it and play through it once. You probably wont be motivated to replay it after your completed the campaign.

Batman

Both are pretty good games, but I'd choose Batman, 'cause It's the best Batman game ever made and you need to play it. Empire it's good, but Rome is still better.

i'd go with empire, i love types of games like that, and it'll last you a while. 

All comes down to your own personal taste. Personally though, I would've gone for Batman.

i say empire total war. batman was good, but forgettable and ovverrated.

For me it is simple:

Simply because I love RTS and Batman whilst good, would just bore me quickly.  Personal taste dictates all.

Batman is possibly the best Batman game ever, and one of the best action games of the year.  Empire Total War looks and plays worse than Medieval Total War (in fact I've seen mods of MTW that were better than ETW).
