This has been known for a while now, a little late. No though, that isn't going to cause PC gaming to die. As long as Valve at least alone keeps putting out games, there will be plenty of people in their community playing, and usually far more than the console versions also(a la, L4D and TF2 both).

Yes its disappointing, but its no different than any other time...things have always been pirated. Will Wright said this himself when asked about this whole thing.

Im under the impression the game companies will eventually get DRM sorted so it isnt intrusive.  Everyone knows steam is the way forward.  I dont see pc gaming dying anytime soon though.  Ive bought more pc games this year than anything else.  Not to mention they are always cheaper than ps3/xbox games.
