I found Win XP to be the only acceptable ms os for many years.  Vista was a big step backward.  But since my new computer came with Win 7, I haven't looked back.  No problems so far.  Though I fought hard to get the stores to sell me a computer with Win Xp, in the end Win 7 is better than XP.

Windows 7 on current laptop. Seemed to crash alot at first but now its all good. My taskbar constantly crashed so I run Rocketdock and Rainmeter. Looks amazing.

Ubuntu on this computer  and Windows xp on my other desktop!

On my desktop : Windows 7 running natively and I also have Ubuntu 11.04 and Windows XP virtual machines. 
On my laptop : I managed to set up a triple boot : Mac OS 10.6, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 11.04. I also have Windows XP in a virtual machine on it.

I choose Windows 7, a year later from when I first answered.

XP on my desktop and 7 on my laptop.

Well, it's hardly RC anymore, but I'm a Win7er.  Service Pack 1 just came out, and the system feels a lot smoother.

I have a windows 7 desktop (Check out the Rig thread for specifications) and a Macbook Pro.

Best of both worlds! PC is for gaming and heavy video editing and the like, Macbook is for web development, design, arsty stuff.

Well now I'm running Lion on my Mac instead. Still Windows 7 (64-Bit) on my PC of course, both really solid operating systems. Kinda prefer Windows on a desktop, though.

who installs only one. Os on a PC? I got 3 installed. and can boot windows XP windows 7 and Linux at will. you can't play games with out Microsoft's direct x. Linux ports for games or 3d studio Max/maya take forever and the fucking Mac os is worthless for everything and should only be used with the crap mac as a overpriced shiny ass 20 pound paperweight.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium. It's a great OS. I also run Windows 8 Developer Preview, which is pretty neat.
