1) Why are you going for the 4770 when the 4850 can be had for the same price? 2) Why are you going for a Phenom II X2 instead of an Athlon II X3, X4 or for little more a Phenom II X3?
" Couple of questions: 1) Why are you going for the 4770 when the 4850 can be had for the same price? 2) Why are you going for a Phenom II X2 instead of an Athlon II X3, X4 or for little more a Phenom II X3? "
What this guy said. Get an HD4850, shit...why not see what you can get in the HD5K series of ATI cards. Also, I would highly suggest getting a Phenom II X4, worth the little high price, and performs much better.
Your power supply is a little small. It'll run but if you ever get a bigger graphics card or a quad core you're also gonna need to beef up your power supply.
@canadiantoastzombie: The cpu usually comes with a pretty good cooler and heatsink (with pre-applied thermal goo). The giant cooler/heatsink combos and 1-piece liquid coolers for ~70 bucks are probably an improvement, though...BTW, whatever you do, TURN OFF cool'n'quiet and Catalyst A.I., unless you want awful performance. Dirt 1 went from horrendous fps to 60fps (with v-sync), once I turned them off.
