Wow, I was thinking that it would be much worse requirement, but my computer still won't be able to handle it very well.

somehow I would not be so confident looking at these. These are the Crysis recommended specs: Recommended Requirements

CPU: Core 2 Duo/Athlon X2 or better
RAM: 1.5GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 7800 Series, ATI Radeon 1800 Series or better
VRAM: 512MB of Graphics Memory
Storage: 12GB
Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible
ODD: DVD-ROM
OS: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
DirectX: DX9.0c or DX10

thats lower than Far Cry's isnt it? Somehow it will not turn out well.

Not too bad at all, i was actually expecting worse. Get used to it the requirements for games are only going to get higher and higher with pc components getting more and more expensive.

OK time to turn all the setting to MAX, then cry in the corner like a little baby.

Fuck you, Ubisoft, I only have Shader Model 2. I'll have to do without this game until Christmas, when I'm getting a new laptop.

I shouldn't have expected SM2 anyways, cause they have a tendency to use SM3 for their newer games.

40% of steam users do not have SM3 support, btw.

bear in mind running on minimum requirements geneally equates 640 * 480 resolution at 10 fps.

best to judge off the reccomended.

Dude, my new PC laughs at those requirements, then actually thinks about it for abit then decides that that it probly wont be able to play it all the way up.

I wounder if it will be the new crysis?

Technically no. I assume you mean technically? Except for some of the weather stuff, fire propogation etc.

Though gameplay wise i suspect it to surpass greatly.

I could just as easily say Crysis: Warhead will surpass it for gameplay, at this stage it means nothin until both are played.

GX2 quad SLi I hope will handle this fine on full settings. I really want to play this at the optimum quality. From what I gather this game will take advantage of  quad core CPU's as they worked closely with nvidia to make that happen.

Crysis' system requirements are a lot less heavy than those of Far Cry 2. So I will highly doubt that the game will suffice with the above recommended system requirements. But we will see, time will tell. :)

They are not high at all, that's true. But if you compare Far Cry 2's system requirements to those of Crysis, you'll notice that Crysis is an extremely heavy system hog while it has a lot less recommendations than Far Cry 2 has.
