Characters
There are seven playable characters in Peggle 2, five in the original release and two more added in DLC. Each character has a unique Power Shot that can come in handy while eliminating pegs and going for high scores.
Bjorn – Bjorn is a Unicorn and the mascot of Peggle 2. Bjorn’s Power Shot is called Super Guide which gives the player three shots in a row that have an extended guide allowing the player to line up more precise shots. This shot is useful for making slides, and hitting long shots for bonus points.
Jeffrey – Jeffrey is a giant, he is accompanied by some goats. Jeffrey’s Power Shot is called Bowlder which gives the player a single shot with a large rock bowling ball on the next turn. Once the bowling ball strikes its first peg it will begin falling directly downward crushing all pegs below.
Berg – Berg is a Yeti / Abominable Snowman. Berg’s Power Shot is called Deep Freeze which stops all movement on the board immediately upon hitting the green peg. Also during the current shot and for the next shot, whenever the ball strikes a circle peg it will send that peg sliding along like a hockey puck. If those pegs then make contact with other pegs they are all considered hit.
Gnroman – Gnroman is a robot. Gnroman’s Power Shot is called Uber Bolt, this shot is available on your next turn after hitting a green peg. When this shot strikes a peg it sends out a pulse of electricity around the peg. If these bolts of electricity come in contact with other pegs then those pegs are considered hit too.
Luna – Luna is a zombie. Luna’s Power Shot is called Nightshade, when activated Nightshade turns all blue pegs transparent for two turns, shots will now only deflect off orange pegs. Nightshade also brings back any missing pegs as transparent pegs allowing for large combos even when the board is almost empty.
Windy – Windy is a magical fairy. Windy’s Power Shot is called Fairy Flock, when a green peg is struck three random blue pegs are transformed into high scoring purple pegs. This Power Shot can be great for attaining higher scores.
Jimmy Lightning – Jimmy is a beaver, he was also a character in the original Peggle games. Jimmy’s Power Shot is a Multiball, when a green peg is struck your ball splits into three separate balls. This is useful for removing large amounts of tightly packed pegs quickly and racking up big points.
