    Peng

Object » linked to 2 games

Peng is the hidden treasure mentioned throughout Dead Space. Obtaining it unlocks the "There's Always Peng!" Achievement on Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3 Trophy of the same name.

Peng is not a UK slang term for an attractive woman.

The peng page claims that 'peng' is a slang term for a hot lady in the UK. Living in the UK, as I do, I can assure you I've never ever heard of this. Ever.
Any other UK users care to back me up?

Am from Birmingham, now live in Liverpool. I've never come across it in either area! To be fair though, most slang round these parts was brand new to me when I first moved up here...

I've heard it quite a lot mainly from twats.  Also, I've heard people use as a general replacement for nice, for example "That burger was peng.".

Swedish word in rarely used possibly childish, singular form to mean a sum of money, more common (adult) version is pengar.

How totally bizarre, I have genuinely never ever heard it before or anything that even sounds slightly like. It's really weird, I can't work out where it comes from or anything.

Don't want to ruin a 5-month-old topic, but I just watched a talk from GDC where the art director from DS1 and 2 said "Peng" is nothing, they just made it up and let fans go crazy over it.

I stumbled across this webpage when I was searching whether "peng" was given a definition on the internet. Indeed it is a widely use slang term for someone attractive there is even an huffington post article about it by someone who done a slang course at Leicester uni. I only leave a comment on this thread as I feel it was arrogant by many people who replied to this topic to call those who my use the term "Chavy". I live in west London in a middle class area at that but I am still in touch with my urban side and I know the term is used by many UK rappers who have millions of views on their videos check YouTube for proof. What I'm saying is let's not try to belittle anyone when this is a website forum for gamers not people known for being extremely sociable nor standout pillars of the community don't look down on others simply for the terms the use when no one is perfect themselves. PS I used my google account to post this I'm not sad

@flstyle: Agreed. Especially because I know I'm not the only one to not take care to see the date off the bat, so people go on as if it was made recently (and it may have happened as you can see not just with my comment), when it's something that probably didn't need to be brought back. Some stuff is alright, especially if it's relevant, but this? Eh. Thanks again for pointing it out.
