    As far as I know, yes, your character will be lead over, and some other things.

    Yes, you will be able to import your character and party into Episode 2. You will also be able to change your character's appearance before starting if you want as well (there are supposedly many more options for your created character's look).

    For anyone else wondering, it also incorporates the secret item you found in Episode One, so it's well worth playing the first Episode before this one.

    The assist character it nets you really isn't worth it gameplay wise, but if you really like Penny Arcade (Which I suppose is assumed if you are really going that far out of your way to get secret items.) then it is a nice consolation for owning both games.
