Peppy is the long-time companion of Fox McCloud of the Star Fox games. He has the experience and the wisdom to guide Fox through the toughest of situations.

Peppy was part of the original Star fox team along with James McCloud and Pigma Dengar. While on a scouting mission to Venom Pigma Dengar betrayed James and Peppy. Peppy returned though and joined the reformed Star Fox team with new wingmates Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi and Slippy Toad, being the most experienced member of the team he often givess the player useful advice such as "Do a barrel roll!" After Star Fox 64 Peppy retired as a pilot and eventaully replaced General Pepper as the commander-in-chief of the Cornerian Defense Force.
