Between Guitar Hero, Rock Band, the EyeToy, and Nintendo's glut of plastic wheels and bathroom scales, it seems that the peripheral saturation point is fast approaching.  But will that stop companies from releasing crazy contraptions the add "immersive gameplay" and whatnot?  No fucking way, Jose!  Activision is taking the lead as Tony Hawk jumps on the bandwagon with that skateboard thing.  Could be good, could be shit.  Let's just hope it's not mandatory.

So what's next?  A motion-sensing chainsaw for Gears of War 3?  An actual working BMX bike for the next Dave Mirra game?  How about a Mega Buster peripheral for Mega Man X9?  RapeLay blow-up doll periph?  Use your imagination and come up with some insane fake peripherals... for the children.

How about a phone peripheral for the next GTA, and the only way for you to call characters in the game is by using it, and they will randomly call you even if you're not actually playing the game.
