The company's first title, Gods & Heroes earned many awards at E3 2006, but financial problems kept the game from ever reaching an actual release. The game was playable by the public via a beta period that lasted since October 2006. In October of 2007, development on Gods & Heroes was put on indefinite hold in order to focus their efforts on the newly acquired Star Trek license. By January 2008, Perpetual had transferred all rights to the Star Trek Online license and game assets to Cryptic Studios. On February 25, 2008, the company shut its doors for good.
Perpetual Entertainment developed Gods & Heroes and Star Trek Online for Sony Online Entertainment, but neither title was released, and the company folded in 2008.
