Wow. Personally I had no idea her voice actress got replaced. The new voice is the most off-putting thing of all time. She's really lost her charm now. I'm pretty disappointed honestly. Her voice used to sound playful and sexy but not in your face. Like she was sort of constantly teasing the main character without even trying. Now she just...well, frankly she sounds like Naoto in the Persona 4 anime.

Yeah... I know that the Japanese VA for Igor died, but surely that is no reason to switch the NA actor as well.

It also sucks that Atlus removed the option to have dual audio even though the Japanese version has it.

The weirder thing is that they still used the voice clips from the last game on the character select screen for Igor, but got the new Margaret to rerecord her lines from that screen. So now who even knows which voice actor is really Igor's going forward into P5, assuming they even bring the character back.

Just started the story mode... That is rough....

@frostyryan: He still uses the same pre-round voice as before, but if you start up the story it's very very very noticeable.

I remember Yukiko sounding really weird in the original P4A. Not sure if it was because the voice actress forgot how to play her or if it was a new actor.

I guess the several times BlazBlue changed the voice actors of their characters has made me used to this sort of thing. It's a shame, since I really liked the original voice actors in Persona 4, but it just happens some times. If there's one thing that bothers me, it's not knowing what happened to Naoto's voice actress. With the voice actress having never been disclosed, she could have been in an accident for all we know.

@sunbrozak: They didn't disclose a voice actress? That's super weird. And sounds like it would be against rules of...something, I dunno.

Actually that's very common for anime and video game dubs. Many of them are non-union dubs so the voice actors prefer to go uncredited. Often you only "know" because people recognize the voice.

yea i really hate the new voices for Magaret and Igor, the old voices really gave those guys their charm. now they sound plain

(which still sort of fits with Igor since he's supposed to be a all-knowing like being, he actually sounds a bit like Philemon now, but Magaret...yeesh.)

im sure it will not be an issue later on.

@zeik: Considering something like Persona though I would have thought they would just get names. Though Chie in Persona 4 was the person's first role I think.
