Apparently P4A's netcode is terrible.

So copies of P4A have been in the hands of some fighting game pros for awhile now..

Early reports are that the netcode is just as bad as KOF12's. :'(

Hope they can fix this soon because I think that is the main reason KOF13 isn't nearly as popular as it should be.

Did a little bit more reading. Apparently it's not a problem on PS3, with good connections even on one bar. So sounds like it's something that (hopefully) can be an easy fix for 360.

I remember KoF XII online. Or rather, I remember a grim, slow-mo specter, shambling frame-by-frame out of the fog...

Still, I do most of my fighting game stuff on PS3 anyway, so this isn't terribly problematic (doubly so if the 40 hour story mode proves true/entertaining), but it'd be nice to have a real, non SF/MK contender in the online arena.

So 360 version is jank? That is unfortunate. Thankfully the PS3 is supposedly good so it's is not a problem with the game.

Though I am not planning on buying the game, I really hope they can get it fixed. It's never fair when certain versions of games released don't match up to the others.

By the by, does anyone have any information on whether or not future Persona titles will be coming to the 360? With Atlus bringing over both Catherine and now Arena, I feel like it is very probably, though I have found nothing confirming this. Sorry about going a bit off topic.

Jeez, hopefully they can fix that up for 360 players. Nice to hear the netcode runs well on PS3.

Yeah, there are issues with the 360 version of the game. Issues that might even be fixed before the NA launch.

The PS3's net code is more than OK (since it's ASW and all).

the ps3 netcode is BBs netcode which imo is the best ps3 FG netcode right behind skullgirls.

also there has been talk of a fix for the xbox before the game comes out but its really all rumors right now.

I've just read that only the PS3 version is even playable online. Not sure if this is an exaggeration, but seems like the PS3 version is the one to get. I'm glad that's the one I ordered.

That's really odd that the PS3 version of a fighting game has better netcode then the 360 version. It's the other way around with most fighters.

Shitty online is the reason I traded KOF away in the first week. So frustrating when you really like a game and the online is jacked. Getting it for PS3 anyway, so seems like a non issue. But still, if that is the case for the 360 that shit is un forgivable!

I only have a PS3 so this doesn't seem to be an issue, to be honest I much more enjoy playing online against a CPU, because in reality I suck at fighting games.

Well, not that it excuses it, but BB CT had the same problem at launch. They worked it out pretty quickly and it ended up becoming one of the better fighting game net codes out there, so my fingers are crossed for you 360 users.

Just pre ordered it on 360 earlier today because it's the only system I have a fightstick on. Hopefully this gets worked out soon

Atlus already has it fixed and it's just being tested. Just to remind people the first Blazblue also had netplay problems on the 360 and after the patch it worked pretty smooth.

Are the 360 and PS3 versions using different netcode or something? Was KOF the same way - good netcode on PS3, poor on 360? I could have sworn that I remember hearing that all the versions of that game were fucked online.

Regardless, sounds like Atlus / Arc System Works is working on fixing it. Luckily, my fight stick is for the PS3, so I will still be picking up that version tomorrow :)

Yes, please. Also, if you do a 360 you're going to end facing the same direction you started in.

I don't get why these Aksys games keep having terrible netcode. The original Blazblue played great online. Then when Continuum Shift came out it was hot garbage.

My first 35 matches weren't bad on the 360. It did slow down in response to lag, but I never felt like I was out of control, and it wasn't a chronic issue.

To be fair, on the PS3, the netcode is, indeed, awesome.

But I'm actually quite shocked that Atlus let the game ship this way. If there isn't a patch out by friday, I'm returning the 360 version and getting the PS3 version, because the online is a complete mess right now.

@Mesoian: I'm pretty sure they said the patch was done it was just being tested i think they said or something like that. Havnt tried the online yet for it on the 360 but sucks to hear that its pretty bad.

Wish my stick was modded so I could get it for the ps3 if this doesnt get fixed soon.
