Persona 4 Arena is an Arc System Works-developed fighting game with an Atlus-developed story mode that serves as the official sequel to both Persona 3 and Persona 4.
Well I sure hope so, I was just going by their basic attacks in P4. I can see everyone having some kind of command grab but I'd like someone to be a 'dedicated grappler', something like Alex or Abel from SF. Zangief / Hugo is very unlikely.
Im a P3 fan first so Im kinda bummed that Aigis is the only one here from that cast ... It´s because the P4 Scoobies are a bunch of kids and the SEES got better things to do! right?! *weeps in the corner*.
That trailer was all over the place; didn't like it too much.
Also, it seems to imply that Rise's going to be a playable character. Not sure how I feel about that and I still doubt it because she appears in other battles as a commentator, but who knows.

@FluxWaveZ: I notice that too , I don´t the she should be a fighter they basically showed everybody but her and Naoto and Rise can´t fight she dosn´t even have a weapon.

0:44 - 0:57: Montage of all P4 main characters' silhouettes. Of course, this includes Rise. This doesn't imply much as this just shows every main character, but... 2:14 - 2:15: 9 TV screens showing each character presented during the trailer. It's not just a Persona 4 montage this time, since it also includes Aigis. They wouldn't be emphasizing the character so much if she was just to be a commentator.

Or because she's a main character from Persona 4 and a party member? And she is in the game as a commentator?
And I think you are severely over-blowing the term"emphasizing the character"here, when she just shows up for 2 seconds total as character artwork......in both contexts along with every other character of the Investigation team.
If they had not included Rise in that group shot people would have said "RISE CONFIRMED NOT IN P4U", despite showing up in several screens as a commentator.
Rise can't fight, Mysterious Fox is a more likely contender for this game than her, I'd say.
I think the way the trailer says "Intruder Alert" when they introduce Aegis suggests that she may be the only P3 character. Unless there are more intruders.
@drag: Isn't Persona 4 the most popular title? And Aigis is a fan-favorite, right? Doesn't seem that weird, it is a fighting game you know.
As far as my Japanese friend knows Persona 4 seems to be the more well received one by reviewers and such but Persona 3 seems to remain the fan-favorite.
But Persona 4 seems to be the more popular one outside of Japan, Persona 4 is hell of easy to find but Persona 3 was a little harder (in Sweden), and it seems like many doesn't know what Persona 3 is.

There also seems to be another stage where players fight in the TV-twisted hallways of Yasogami High. From what I gather, no stage has been shown that takes place outside of the Midnight Channel.
