Who's your Main?
Went in thinking Yukiko, but haven't really figured out how to play her yet. Messed around with Yosuke and Naoto a bit and liked them. Yu is kind of sluggish. Elizabeth seems interesting too. Haven't played anyone else yet. I'm still figuring it out is what I'm saying.
I've been rotating from Yosuke, Naoto and Yukiko. Yosuke and Yukiko are great because their quick attacks have more range than you'd expect (and Yosuke's is hella fast). Naoto is good because her chump combo deals a ton of damage, and her gun stuff does too. Only problem is I feel like a punk projectile spamming, even if that's the character's entire hook.
I like Chie''s dragon punch move, does a ton of damage, but I hate how little range her basic attacks have.
Now that I've spent some time using everyone, I'm still going to main Naoto (she;s my favoriteeee) but I'm also going to use Elizabeth because I dig her playstyle
You guys already have mains? Jesus that was quick! I still haven't even managed to play as all the characters yet...
Definitely Naoto, but I do bounce between Yosuke and Yu as well occasionally.
Also: I hate playing against Yukiko. So much. Soooo much.
Decided on Liz as soon as I heard she was playable and after using her I don't think I'll back off anytime soon. It's pretty lucky that her playstyle seems to immediately click with me better than the rest of the cast as I'm still trying to learn the nuances of an Arc fighting game.

Couldn't agree more.
Yeah she is a bitch. A good way to fight her is to make her whiff her moves by mixups. Putting her in a corner she is prone to burst or DP and you can counter easily. Also it's good to know your character's movement. I tried Akihiko vs Yukiko and his jumps are not high enough to get through fans easily, his hop is too short and I believe his evasive roll doesn't last enough. For Chie, her speed is able to beat Yukiko's zoning and annoying factor.
@ThePhantomnaut: You can evasive roll if you time it right to the move she is doing. You can Weave the fans, but you have to be careful and not leave yourself open when she sends her Persona out. If you can evasive behind her when she attacks and get a shot in, you can get some decent damage and hopefully put some pressure on, since the few Yukiko players that I've beat absolutely crumble under pressure if I can keep it on them and don't screw it up.
I still haven't used every character, but I like Yu so far. Got some online matches in with him and those went relatively alright.
I really like how Chie plays but I've yet to try everyone. I'm going through the story mode first before I try on maining someone.
I've only played as Charlie, Yosuke, Chie and Kanji so far, but so far Chie is my favorite and best character, with Charlie as close second. From the looks of it, I may really enjoy Naoto, but I have yet to try her out. I do always dig a fighting game character with a "fucking gun" though. Stryker is my fave in Mortal Kombat...

If you can nail high damaging throws, Kanji can work. Chie has great normal attacks and pretty good when putting folks in the corner thanks to her movement and Persona normals. Yu has great damage combos and his range with the sword is good for spacing. If you are choosing Naoto, she has really good zoning with her guns and traps. There are skulls below the opponent if you play Naoto and once you deplete those with every 5th shot and some traps, you get two additional instant kills from your supers in addition to your regular instant. Dunno about Brosuke but he is pretty fast and good for interesting mixup opportunities.
Didn't really like Mitsuru at first, charge moves aren't my favorite, but she has become my main, replacing Yosuke (sorry partner).
I play mostly Yukiko and Mitsuru, so those two are vying for it. I want to develop a Naoto and an Elizabeth though, as it fits my style. Also, any labrys players should add me I need to learn a bit about how to play vs her.
I've started messing around with Labrys but not enough to consider her as upstaging my new main of Mitsuru. I thought it'd be Naoto, but Mitsuru is just too fun to use.
How do you get better at this game? I spent a whole lot of time doing the challenges to see who I liked best then loaded up arcade and got killed by the first guy, there's just so much to think about in this game and it moves really fast. I'm not exactly amazing at fighting games but I was decent with MK.

Maining Elizabeth I guess because I like being cheap as all hell. Her standard projectile is so absurdly unfair, and she has an SP skill that's a heal. All online opponents thus far have reacted to it by blocking, fearing an attack. That won't last long I'm sure.
That Zio is pretty slow, though. I'm weaning myself off of relying on it because if they time an airdash right it's such a free punish.
Planning on using Yu until I get a better understanding of all the game's mechanics. After that I might switch over to Yosuke, Aigis or Yukiko.
