Alright, today's update's here. I know usually I throw these down at 7AM but I overslept and I should really be heading out to school. BUT this is my priority -- now that is dedication, right?

Yeah I generally train until everyone's SP is near 0 and I'm not willing to pay the fox. Rarely do I ever save somebody on the first day (unless it's NG+).

And hey, this isn't just my journey, it's our journey. So I'm willing to hear people out, even if it has nothing to do with my posts. I might actually consider maining Naoto now that I know she can learn elementals from her S. Link. Makes me wonder what Kanji can learn.

@Jeric: Well Naoto already knows 2 elemental attacks from the beginning and learn 2 more by going on bike rides with her. Kanji gets Power charge from his social link and that is pretty much what you need for him.

Yeah, I actually forgot what happens if you choose one of the "better" choices. Well, the whole hiimdaisy "we're out of bourbon, dad'll be disappointed" version always cheers me up. And yeah, I love how they handled Ai's story. I actually wanted to hug her at some point - like "It's okay, I'm a fat bitch, too."

I SOLVED THE CASE! That part where Snake strangled Otacon because he turned evil was intense.

Also, protip, in order to get the bug to catch the river guardian and sea guardian you must try and fish at the sea and it'll say you must find where to get a sea rod. Next go to the old man by the river when you have the last ema quest to start it and then the bugs to catch the fish will show up under the tree. Just want to tell you so you can do it as soon as possible.

So I'm having some messed up sleep issues that keep causing me to wake up late for school and stuff, but even as I am late as hell, I shall spend ten minutes updating this! Friggin' dedication!

Sometimes those Skill changing card can mess you up when it update a move you don't want to upgrade. At least for the higher level persona moves when you just want a single attack move and not multiple one. And that search for fusion can get crazy when it shows all of the possible fusions at that time.

@metalsnakezero: Yeah I was really hoping it'd just become Hamaon instead of Mahama, but whatever, it doesn't really matter right now.

Just a point I should've brought up on the first post: I didn't look at any of the new story elements in Golden, hence my surprise at certain things, like Marie's personality and Adachi's... Adachiness. So yeah - I know I said there would be spoilers in this thread, but I meant spoilers for the original P4. For anyone reading this, please resist spoiling any of the new Golden content.

There have never been a good time to expand the crops from my playthrough since I was too busy with reading books, socializing, eating stuff from the fridge, and fishing.

@metalsnakezero: The only good thing for farming is that Tetracorn and Makaracorn. The Tiny Soul Tomatoes/Wall Paprika (I think that's what it was) is good until Mitsuo's dungeon,after you can level Rise's dungeon more efficiently and max your teams social link to get evade element. I thought the rest were kind of useless

@TohruAdachi: Yeahhh I probably won't use any more time bumping up the crops. Since I'm not trying to do a perfect, one-day-save run, the SP veggies aren't really important (I haven't even used the ones I already have). The Hiranya are sort of unnecessary and the chest keys are easy to get.

Anyway, here's today's update. Also, these are all being uploaded straight to GiantBomb - do they have a file limit? Because I'm pushing 300ish pictures and, even though there's a Quest for 1000 uploads, I can't help but think that there's some sort of limit.

Today's update's mostly about Kanji, and it's littered in homophobic humour. As a disclaimer, I have nothing against guys who like other guys. Blargh.

This game should be coming this week. I am still wary of the amount of effort it will take for me to enjoy it. I think I will watch some endurance run today to see what the heck is going on.

The sad part was -- after seeing his revelation in The Animation (which I have not been keeping up with since I can't find the friggin' Volume 1 Blu-Ray anywhere in the city and I refuse to stream it in anything less than the best quality), I realized that I relate to his Shadow the most. Deep.

@Jeric: Yeah I can relate to Brosuke most of the time and I felt bad for him and actually Kanji too throughout the game. First off Yosuke has to move to a small town Inaba and practically has no friends,he rarely even hung out with Yukiko and Chie. (Reading the manga for him,but translation only got to chapter 3) Including I hate it with people pester me to do something when I simply think it's "boring" and like he said,it's a pain in the uranus. I think Yosuke's secret actually had some more relations to it to people in real life. Than I just felt bad for him since he rarely gets any love from female characters in the game,same for Kanji. You could even tell in his storyline on arena he rarely got any love,and yeah one of the few things I liked about the anime,but rest was pretty bad. However it had like 10 - 15 good hilarious scenes,but I hate how they ruined it,but I was definitely hoping they add Aiya in Golden...

Also if you want you can try gogoanime,I'm not sure if I really consider is great quality since I practically just watch it if the quality isn't bad.

@TohruAdachi: I do sort of relate to Teddie too, though - his is a bit of a fantastical example if looked at with a literal sense, but if you think about it, it's really just about the sort of pessimism that can hit a person if they live optimistically for so long. His Shadow experience was sort of relative to a feeling that someone has when they start to think, "I'm really not all that great." Of course - like Teddie does, we all do have valuable qualities that help us recover from that sort of thing. So I bet his situation relates to more people than we think. In a way, I can relate to pretty much all of them - at least in different points in my life - just not to such extremities. They really did a great job of making realistic, human characters.

And I'd totally stream the anime, but nawww bro, gotta support them! Also I have a feeling that my brother ordered in the blu-ray for me for Christmas. So let's hope that's true.

@Jeric: I support them if the DVDs didn't cost so much money,on the other hand,already watched it,I'd give it 6/10 rating. And I totally hear you on relating to practically every character,the thing I love about Atlus,they can really relate to real life problems,and watching Catherine gameplay was super interesting,so that too.

Heh, I actually could've bought the DVD as it was right in front of me at some point, but hey - once you go blu-ray, you never go... regular-ray. So I just couldn't. And I friggin' love Catherine. If you like puzzlers and you haven't played it yet, you totes should man.

Though I'd never have the balls to play the game on Hard or finish all the challenges to get the, y'know, "special" cutscene. I've only ever finished Altar.

@Jeric: I've watched the gameplay and the puzzles are so hard I'd probably cry,but I would seriously try it out in the future. I want to see the devil cutscene with my own eyes,it was so hilarious,apparently he seduced all the succubus and he's like an incubus now.

But yes, Catherine is an AWESOME game - well, some may disagree but I think anyone who likes Persona should at least check it out.

The Freedom ending some people made hilarious comments when he went to space and they were commenting about he's Cowboy Bebop,but yeah both endings were good,but the devil one was hilarious,and it's funny how the demon father was like,"YOU PROMISE YOU PLAY VIDEO GAMES WITH ME T~T"

I think that Catherine also has some of the most human and beliveable dialogue that atlus has ever written. Everytime I were at the bar i felt incredibly immersed in the world and It's characters. P4 also has some great writing, but I feel like they outdid themselves in Catherine. Unlike P4 I never really thought that the characters in catherine got much time to shine though, wich was too bad.

I think I'm gonna go and replay Catherine again, thanks to this discussion. Such an amazing game.
