This is one of my favorite dumb new features of the game (and something similar was in Arena, as well, I think). If you missed/ignored Rescue Requests in your playthrough, as I did for a good chunk of the game, you can request aid in dungeons from other players and receive a small fraction of HP/SP from each person who heeds your call, and you can in turn help out other players. That's pretty nifty by itself, and probably a godsend in the early dungeons, but the real reason for doing this is crafting custom messages for rescued players to see, and seeing their creations. You can only use predetermined words and symbols in a predetermined order, so expressing your message may take some creativity. As you can imagine, this is used only in an entirely serious manner, and in no way involves making oblique references to genitalia or excessive use of "WOOHOO!" (or both).

@Narx: Only fun online function is the SOS,and is really useful in the game,but it's only on people on the same floor of you on the dungeon,so you can't SOS someone on floor 9 if you're on floor 8.

Haha - I'd given up on the Australian release date (we don't even have Arena yet :/ - and I was expecting to want DLC, so I held off). I'd just import man, worked for me.

That explains why I had trouble getting some on Yukiko's dungeon first floor.

Although it's kinda cool when you go up floors and get rescued by the same people. Feels like your not alone in there

@Narx: I stopped using SOS function a long time ago,it's annoying,for one reason it takes like five seconds to load,and second,it makes me angry when I waste five seconds,help other people,and they don't even help me back... Well I'm just raging,but it could really be useful,when you get to the higher dungeons people actually start helping you,or that's in my opinion,but I got Rise now and her revival gives you full SP,so I sometimes just die on purpose to get full SP,but rarely.

I tend to use it since I play on hard mode. Mobs hit way harder which require more SP to heal. All the TaP soda cannot help me!

If it's not spoilers, what's that about Rise's revival?

Yeah, SOS is only really useful in like the first two dungeons. I'm playing on hard difficulty and I'm having zero trouble keeping full health and SP. Especially with a Rank 10 Rise and since the game tosses you a recovery card in the shuffle time every now and then. I'm in Magatsu Inaba and I'm coming out of every battle with full bars. I've got like 80 snuff souls and a boatload of other SP recovery items

@Narx: I rarely use it,and I'm playing Very Hard,but I did use it a lot during my Hard gameplay which was my first gameplay. I'm surprised if that TaP soda and Dr Salt Neo isn't helping you though,you practically get 300+ SP a month if you don't forget or misclick like I do,and at low level you shouldn't have much SP either. Just remember to not try to beat a dungeon in one day though so yeah. Also Rise's revival is her special skill for MC only and it revives you to full health and SP,it's not really a spoiler since you're just telling someone about the skills.

@MiniPato: Damn how you farm that much? I rarely use SP items and I don't even have that much with Rise's rank 10. I rarely die a second time though since I have Enduring Soul,two extra chances is always useful so yeah.

Well I'm only playing on hard. Might be different on Very Hard. But I open every chest I find. Can't leave a floor until I do. And everytime I got to rescue someone I run up and down the dungeon floors twice just to get some levels and items as well as running through the previous dungeon to kill the optional shadow boss and to get quest items. So I run into treasure chests often and get an abundance of life stones and snuff souls. I have spent like 3 real life days (one in game day) just grinding when I went to rescue Naoto. It wasn't particularly fun, more exhausting really. But I try to minimize the days spent in the TV world as much as possible so I can get in as much S-linking as possible. I probably wouldn't be playing the way I am if I were playing regular Persona 4 sitting in front of my TV.

@MiniPato: Dang brother just don't over-level. I beat Mitsuo at level 36,Naoto at 40,and Nametame at 43. Not even purposely training,whenever I saw Gold Hands I just fought them for the cash,and gain like 1/2 levels from the boss,and I do not like opening all the chests unless I'm hunting for reaper,especially redoing the dungeon since it's such a pain in the uranus.

Recovery cards never worked for me at all, I thought they were broken so I stopped picking them.
