I'm not that interested in the PSV, I think it's a cool idea but I'm not sure yet. As a huge SMT fan, is it worth getting a PSV just to play P4G?

Worth getting a Vita for just P4G?
this is one of those 'only you can really answer' questions. only you know how much value you put on that one game.
do you think its worth it?
@McGhee: See that's the thing although I only want to get P4G, there'll be more games coming for the system. But $250 + Importing the game is money I could spend to upgrade/fix my PC.
DAMN IT! I DON'T KNOW!!!
Dear lord, no. If you want to play Persona 4 so badly, just buy the original game. You can friggin' youtube the extra added stuff. No single game is worth a console purchase.
Tell me you're going to buy 5 other launch games for the system and I might give a different opinion, but I hope you have a lot of money.
Only if you interested in at least five other games. Dropping around $300 for one game is like buying a 2,000 dollar racing wheel and seat just to play forza 4.
If P4G is the only game you are interested in for the system, I don't think that sounds like a great idea.
Unless you have enough money that it doesn't really matter that you spend that much money for one game, and take a chance on whether more games you are interested in will be released later.
I bought a 3DS pretty much for Zelda OoT 3D, but then I also got 20 free games...

@Knave: Well at least that is what I heard last that it has 1-2 GB free on board for game saves.
Some games like Uncharted require the memory card. Persona 4: The Golden could be one of those games.
And I think it's not worth it to buy a handheld for that much money just for one game.

Im not buying one on launch, whenever P4 comes out (HOPING FOR A PRICE CUT) its inevitable, if its p4 related, I'm buying it. The thing is its not just a straight up port, i mean playing as a girl just makes it way more interesting.
You won't be able to play as a girl in P4: Golden...
which makes me iffy on getting the game, cause tbh that was all i wanted... though the addition of Marie may make me try it, I quit playing the ps2 one and now it's being borrowed, so..we'll see.@Sayishere said:

Hmm... If you were to run into other games you weren't aware of along the line, yes, I'd say it is. But literally just for P4G... It's still a close call to me.
Of course not. Buying a $250 handheld to play a game that is already out on ps2 is pretty dumb. If you have the money though go for it.
Persona 3 Portable was not great. That may be indicative of P4G or maybe not.
Do you really need a mobile version of P4?

For me, yes. Other games I'm interested in will come in time.

It was a respectable version for the limitations of that platform, P4G includes all the PS2 stuff and more, so it's not really right to judge it based on P3P.
Day one.
Just buy a used PS2 and get a copy of Persona 4 (and while you're at it get P3, and any other PS2 exclusives you are interested in. I bought Sly Cooper and a few other games when I bought a PS2 a couple years ago). Overall cost will be still less than half the cost of a Vita alone and you will get more games.
Depends if you have money to spend or not if you are only planning to purchase it for one game. I for one wanna be an early adopter for the handheld, looking forward to uncharted. However I started P4 a year or so ago and never really got into it, might give it a second chance on the PSV with this version of it.
I'm afraid I would have to say yes to this question. At least it's not a launch game so hopefully the price of the PSV will drop by then like it did with the 3DS :P
..... do it me and my wife are gonna thats roughly $500 for 2 vitas, and without the vita games... but we have psp/ps1 games too so it works :D

I'd say wait until the price goes down and there is a library of games to play on the Vita.
I agree with this. See what other games get offered later and see if there are any that will interest. Although I want to get for that damn Lumines so maybe I should shut up.
If this port gets a US dub and release, I will gladly shell out the money for a new handheld.
I hope it doesn't turn out like P3P (lack of cutscenes/animations).
I don't think it's worth buying PSV just for P4G. The game doesn't look like it will have a whole lot of extra content and it looks exactly like the PS2 version so why not just get that for $20. Now, if there are more games you're interested in that are coming out on the Vita then I say "Go for it!"
Also, I think P3P is probably the best version of P3 even without the cut scenes or superior graphics. All the mechanics they added from P4 totally make it worth it.
