Now I'm not a Persona guy, but if they're going to keep the social link stuff, this is how they should do it:

Make it so if your guy engages in multiple romantic relationships, there's an increasingly likely chance (correlated with how many ladies' hearts you're stealing) that you'll get found out and they'll all dump you for being a creep.

Back at the ER, there was just something intensely wrong with the way that Charlie was juggling four different high school girls like that.

In addition, they definitely started working on it before they revealed it in the post; that's just how development works, even if it was just concept.

I've never heard anyone say 360... And back when they were saying ps3, it seemed the Australian ratings board mixed up the platforms or something when they rated the Persona remake for PSP.

That's why, as AgentJ said, there's been a lot of speculation as to whether the 3DS game that has been announced is going to be Persona 5 or another remake/spin-off.

Personally, I'm hoping for a P4 or P2 remake, and that Persona 5 is gonna end up on the consoles.

Ah, I never knew that. Excellent news! But that leaves me wondering what the 3DS game will be. I think I'd rather a Persona 4 remake than anything else. I can't imagine it being a Persona 3 remake so soon after P3P.

I'd either want P4P or Persona 2 remake. I wouldn't even mind Persona 1 as I've never got to play it. Just anything except for P3.

Yeah, I'm in pretty much the same mind-set as you... Although I'd much rater P4 than 2. I really prefer the turn Persona 3 made for the series. The first one just felt like any other Shin Megami Tensei game you could pick up and play... I've never played Persona 2 so I dunno about that one, which is why I wouldn't so much mind the 3DS game being a remake of that..

But can you imagine, a 3D TV world!? It'd be so cool. Here's hoping.

I think he meant the transition of going inside the TV (go to 1:01 in this video), in Persona 4, in 3D. Personally, I think that would look fucking crazy and I would love to see that.

Lol chill the fuck out. I'm not on the 3D bandwagon for consoles, believe me, but from what I've heard from reports back from E3 and stuff, the tech on the 3DS is pretty awesome. If the tech is there and they're doing it on 3DS chances are they'll make it look good. If you don't like it, it's optional anyway, so calm down.

And it would be quite pointless to put it out on the PSP when development of P5 was pretty recent and the 3DS is almost certainly going to be a hit. I think a PS3 release is very likely.

That's exactly what I meant! When I considered the Persona 4 3DS remake, that was one of the first things that came into mind. If they're gonna put it on 3DS they might as well make it look good!

And, actually, when it got mentioned in this thread and I realized P5 will have to come on a Sony platform because of the source of its reveal, I kind of thought "Since PSP2 is in development... there's a possibility that P5 is being developed for that platform that might be revealed later in 2010, launched shortly after the 3DS."

So yeah, P5 might be PSP2 exclusive, but that's some stupid speculation. But, hey, anything can happen.

So am I.. I'm really hoping there'll be some news on P5 or the 3DS persona game coming out of TGS. If memory serves correctly though, haven't most Persona games been outed by Famitsu? If we get any details, they're likely to come from there, I think.

Sorry guys, 360 is the most unlikely console.

Its presence is nonexistant in Japan, and that's where the sheer majority of Persona's audience resides:/

Those are merely unsubstantiated rumours.

If we look at this from a business perspective: the PSPGO was an obviously horrendous idea from the start, it also was such a failure that Sony launched a campaign here in Europe which allowed you to buy a PSPGO and get 10 GAMES FOR FREE(yes, not joking here). The DS has a complete grip over the market, Sony simply cannot compete in the handheld department.

The standard PSP is kind of a flop as well: only 5 games have ever broken a million copies on that system.

Yeah, PSP really doesn't perform all that well over here in Britain. It's a shame, because there're some really good games on it, and more coming out in the near future.
PSP 2 needs to be able to do something brilliant if it wants to compete with DS here in Britain.

@mutha3: Sure, they're only rumors, but I have no doubts that they'll make another jump at the handheld market. The PSP GO was obviously experimental as they were just making an expensive test and seeing how well the adoption rate for a purely digital distribution based system would be. Perhaps even as a study platform for their next similar system...

Besides, weren't there also those recent rumors that the PSP2 would have some type of popular phone technology? With all of these rumors, it's not probable that it's not in development. They wouldn't let Nintendo completely own that market.

That was also planned for Persona 4. That video is a Chie S. Link "Outtake scene", btw. Shows some stuff that didn't make it into the final Persona 4 game.

Meh, I can see the benefits of 3D technology, especially when glasses are not involved. If it makes things more fun, even if it's just a little and iwthout really doing anything to the gameplay, I'm for it. That's why I play video games: for fun.
