jeff and vinny would be much better for a persona game
Persona 5
Game » consists of 17 releases. Released Sep 15, 2016
The sixth main iteration in the long-running Persona series, Persona 5 follows a group of high school students (and a cat) who moonlight as the Phantom Thieves, out to reform society one rotten adult at a time.
Brad and Ryan should do the Persona 5 endurance run
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Ryan repeatably tears the game a new one while Brad talks about how tired he is? :)
Could be funny I guess, but I think I'd stick with JG and VC for endurance runs.
" @Pixelzombie said:Planning for the future is important. Even the far-flung future of 20-12." @FrankCanada97 said:Which means none of this really matters since Persona 5 in English probably won't be out before 2012. ""Let's just wait until the existence of Persona 5 is revealed first? "Here you go! "
Yeah. Brad would die all the time and Ryan would put little to no attention to what's going on in the Social Links, or just go out after someone in the game breaks the barier of quirckiness, like he did in the Jurassic: The Hunted QL after "what the foxtrot" (ironically, Jeff used that sentence on the loading screen).
It's basicly Jeff and Vinny's idea and series. No one would want Drew on TANG, because that's Ryan's feature, so let's leave it at that.
Besides, just give us a FUCKING ENDURANCE RUN and Persona 5, then let's talk about a new ER cast.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Jeff and Vinny should be the only ones to do it. It would be way funnier because they would be able to pick up the references that would be thrown in while it would just go over the heads of Ryan and Brad. I'd assume so at least.
No, it wouldn't make any sense. Jeff and Vinny are already experienced with Persona games now, I wouldn't want to watch Brad and Ryan figure out the fusing and stuff when Jeff and Vinny already know pretty much what they're doing. Ryan and Brad are cool and funny, but it only makes sense to have Jeff and Vinny do it - if there is one.
i think it would have to be Jeff and Vinny again. I'd love to see Brad and Ryan do something, but for persona it's gotta be Jeff and Vinny. They have the same background knowledge as the audience, so watching Brad and Ryan who don't have that same background knowledge just wouldn't feel right. then again, it will be a completely different story and i think it'd be fun to go through it with different people. and really, the points people are making about "Brad would suck and die all the time" are really illegit. if anything, Brad is just clumsy, and i can relate to that, but this is a game of thinking. Brad would have no problem playing this... well shoot i think i just changed my mind about this by thinking about it. Ryan and Brad! why not
I love Brad and Ryan, but I think it would just be a train wreck if they did an Endurance Run. Ryan would get pretty fed up with either the game or Brad way before they reached the end. As for Brad, I can see him doing more moaning then delivering the funnies, which would get tiresome after 100 hours. Neither are as naturally funny, nor as cheerful, as Jeff or Vinny.

"As much as I love Brad and Ryan, I agree. It has to remain the same!
" I don't think Brad would last through Persona, the game tells a great story, but it like any J-RPG is very linear. Judging from his reaction to Final Fantasy XIII Brad would get tired very quickly after several hours. "To be fair, I'm a huge RPG fan and I became incredibly tired from FFXIII within the first 3 hours.
Being linear is one thing.
Taking 20 hours to roll out all the gameplay mechanics is just fucking brutal. I gave up 8 hours in. The awful writing and characterization didn't help it much, either.
Watching the BR-ER really makes me hope they never touch i, anyways.
It seems like they are all interested in the Atlus legacy (hence them doing a 4-man QL for Catherine, Jeff talking about importing the Japanese version), I'm sure IF IF IF IF IF iF iF IF IF they decided to do an ER, i'm sure they will do jeff and Vinny, just to keep the legacy going.

Jeff and Vinny. Ryan and Brad is like watching Laurel and Hardy do a QL. A lot of synical remarks and bumbling. Vinny isn't straight up the best player ever, but he jokes about his mistakes and has fun. Brad gets frustrated a lot. Jeff just rides along, but Ryan would get kind of snippy. The Jeff and Vinny combo works well because they play off each other, and they can put up with a lot more crap.

Rhetorical, I know your answer would probably be for him not to make a comment on it at all.
But thats just asking too much out of people.
I'd just like to say I would be stoked if there was a Persona 5, and I had info on it.
I would prefer the VJ duo as well. Vinny knows how to have fun with games and gets really into it, and Jeff knows how to make "smart" jokes that are perfect for a situation.

Vinny's really the only one that can play a Persona game in an ER, I think, and Jeff is the only one that can sit beside him. Vinny is by far the most inquisitive player in the crew, and Jeff is probably the most inquisitive wingman (not to mention he has the best riffing). That curiosity on both their parts was a huge part of what made the Persona 4 ER entertaining, to me. If they just tried to blow through/past stuff at every turn, which seems to be the predilection of Brad with anything that doesn't immediately grab his attention, and of Ryan pretty much regardless, it'd have been a much less rewarding feature to watch.
Even if we see another Endurance Run from Giant Bomb, I would imagine we will never see another Atlus game done; especially anything involving SMT. The series has become well known enough that I think they would be stepping on Atlus' toes if they did a P5 run. If, and that's a pretty big if, we see another ER, it'll be another title that falls into that quirky and not well-known area of gaming. Frankly, I'm not holding my breath for another ER. It would be great if they did, but I think we'll have to relive the ER magic through P4 and DP.

Jeff pretty much confirmed this on his VYou page, he basically said they only did it because Persona 4 was already past its time of initial sales and showing all of it wouldn't affect it in a bad way. He also said that they are probably never going to do another ER and if they do it will be something that jumps out at them and isn't new, not what all the forum kids moan for.
He said if anything they would probably do an obscure saturn game, although I'd much rather see something like Skies of Arcadia.

Although I love seeing this site give Atlus respect, I don't see another Atlus ER...
I will be playing P5 though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You people believing Jeff saying they'll never do another Atlus game... jesus christ you're gullible.
There will be a Catherine ER. I'm calling it.
No we're not. Jeff didn't say it with a hint of irony and gave legitimate reasons for not wanting to do another one. Here is him reiterating it:" You people believing Jeff saying they'll never do another Atlus game... jesus christ you're gullible.
