People are already discussing the color theme, so why not the music. 
 
3 had this hip-hop, things i'd hear in Jet Set Radio aesthetic to it, and definitely had a darker tone in the more serious musical themes. 
  
4 was highly j-pop filled... in almost all of the music. 
 
In 5... well, I'd dig a Ska-oriented musical score. Hell, get the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra to do it, if they're still together. Both games already have a semi-main theme that incorporates a trumpet, for lack of better word, riff, so it'd be nice add in the appropriate up-strums, riding baselines, and standard ska lead singer-isms (quick phrases that no one can really understand, but correlate to such words as "Give it up", "huh-huh-huh", "1,2,3,4", etc.) And of course, put in some lyrics about... somethin'... angling... praddling... reaching out for the truth, whatever floats their boat.

I'm not sure I see much of a difference between the music of 3 and 4 besides the main battle theme...

I would like to hear some J-Rock actually.Some very energic songs for battle theme,and more slow and menacing for boss battles.IDK whatever they choose will be good,just make the god damn game.

I was about to make a thread about this but I see one already exists, Anyway, I really really REALLY think Persona 5 should have an industrial/electronic sound to it. One of the best things about P3 and P4's combat is how motivating and hype the music makes the player.

Imagine going into battle and then something along the lines of this plays:

Of course it shouldn't sound exactly like this and probably a little more "fun" but with that red, harsh tone we're expecting, I think this would be nothing short of perfect. I really hope they go through with that.

they should get Melt Banana for a couple tracks.

I bet it'll be dubstep themed, like Gatchaman Crowds.

Shoji Meguro did the hard rock thing for Digital Devil Saga and Nocturne. There's some electronic in both, too. I'm afraid I might feel like I'd just be listening to those soundtracks again if Meguro decided to do that for Persona 5.

I'm fine with more light rock, really.

Give it some soul.

That would fit with the whole prevailing over adversity theme.

Something like that would be pretty sweet also. I just think it needs to be heavy electronica in general

@corruptedevil: yeah I remember hearing Shoji Meguro was reaching out to Skrillex at one point. Wouldn't surprise me if it were dubstep.

I don't really mind what direction they go in for the music so long as it's still recognizable as Persona music. P3 and P4 had different tones to the music, but they both felt like they were from the same pedigree.

well one thing we know for Sure, P5 is darker than P3 and 4. so no more hip hop/ pop thingy here.Im sure it will have some metal feel to it, or hard rock at least, plus some ambient stuff.
