Hope it gets to Vita.
Persona 5
Game » consists of 17 releases. Released Sep 15, 2016
The sixth main iteration in the long-running Persona series, Persona 5 follows a group of high school students (and a cat) who moonlight as the Phantom Thieves, out to reform society one rotten adult at a time.

RE the topic of changing location for Persona games,
I just think the high school setting works perfectly in a way that being an adult or in college doesn't. It gets more ridiculous than it already is to have your character work 5 jobs simultaneously in another setting. High school offers a scheduled, regimented lifestyle that is just suited to the franchise.
I only wish that their characters were actually 18, so Atlus wouldn't have to childishly dance around sex, swearing and drinking. It seems bizarre to me that in a franchise with suicide summons and explicit, grotesque murder scenes treats things so conservatively in a lot of ways.
I don't remember any Persona game having explicit, grotesque murder scenes. The violence in these games is very mundane. Despite getting M ratings in America these are very much teen oriented games. These games are barely PG-13 material.

@hailinel@fluxwavez Gentlemen. I fear your Brad Wallets are due for some lightening, as per our agreement.
Was clearly talking about 360/PS3 there, not PS4 at all.
That's not the bet you agreed to sir. "100 Brad Bucks says this comes to platforms other than ps3."
@zeik: Gran Persomo 5. I just hope it has moon rovers.
I just spent 2 minutes looking at these briefly flashing pictures, while trying to see what I could determine about the people from the half a second they are visible. I'm in too deep, goddammit! Abort!

It's reminding me of how obsessively I followed details about P4 before it came out and I ended spoiling a few things I didn't want to. I told myself I'd not do that with this game, but it's hard...
between this and bloodborne I will finally get a ps4. (although I really hope they announce a vita version cause P4G was SO DOPE, I played that game for at least 30-40 hours laying in bed or while in the bathroom)
If you have a PS4 you can stream P5 to it and play on the can. I haven't tried it personally but I've heard it's pretty good.
So, still a high school setting, and takes place in a major city. The combat location resembles the Dark Hour from P3 a bit, takes place in the real world with everyone simply freezing in time.
Still while Persona 3 used primarily the colours blue, green and black, this game seems more to rely on white, gray and black. It goes well with the theme of imprisonment and freedom.
@fattony12000: So we been playing car games all this time!?
@fattony12000: Haha, wow. I'm surpised I've never seen anyone make that connection before.
@zeik: Well, I'd call the hanging of corpses on TV antennas was pretty gruesome, but that's neither here nor there.
I more meant that if they are rated M, I don't get why Atlus deliberately avoids taboo subjects, which would be very applicable to a high school setting

There's nothing particularly graphic about those corpses though. Yeah, they're dead bodies, but they're fully clothed with no visible wounds whatsoever. When it comes to depicting dead bodies that's very very light on the scale. It's about the equivalent of getting stabbed and not showing any blood, which is not uncommon in T rated games.
Don't forget, these games are only rated M by the ESRB in the US. They are developed in (and primarily marketed to) Japan, where they recieve the equivalent of a T rating. (CERO B)

Persona Kart Racer
Lotta phones in the trailer.
Persona 5 Free to Play
Plot point or just current Japanese trend?
Japanese Trend, they love their phones. I can;t remember the last time a phone wasn't involved in a Super Sentai or Kamen Rider transformation sequence.
And let's not forget about Phone Braver!
i doubt it will look much better but I'm still glad its coming for ps4 so that I can play it on my current preferred platform
I was thinking about which platform I would get it on after reading your comment, but the PS4 version will also give the benefit of being able to do any grinding on your Vita/PS TV (if you have either of those by that point) which of course could be handy.
@zeik: I didn't know they were rated T in Japan, it just seemed odd how cautious they were given the M rating, but if that's only international it makes much more sense. Thanks for clearing that up!

It involved discussion of gender/sexuality. More of an impact towards an M rating in the west than dead bodies.
