Great interview, I hope there's more Molyjams to come. It was fun to follow.
Peter Molyneux
Peter Molyneux is a veteran British game designer renowned for his pathological lying, innovation with AI, and business simulation and RPG/God genres.
It Came From the Molyjam: Peter Molyneux
"After the event, I was skipping around the streets of London saying, “This is incredible.”"
The visual of this in my head has made my day, and it's not even lunchtime. Thank you.

He should rename the compnay to 22 Chains, much better name than 22 Cans.
22 Catches? Twenty Toucans?
22 Balls

I have had a pretty negative view of Peter over the course of this gen because of his tendancy to over hype games and over sell his ideas. But I have read a lot of interviews in the last few weeks about him and damn it, he is an admirable person. He truly loves his job and loves this industry, and that is what will lead to great games. I can't wait to see what him and his new studio comes up with.
I have to agree with you. I look forward to what 22 cans puts out. I believe Peter Molyneaux resignation from Lionhead Studios allows us to see the games Peter have always wanted to create. If anything it takes a good soul to speak at a game jam, which for all intended purposes, is mocking his gaming ideas.
The 1st thing 22Cans needs to do is call EA and tell them they want to make a new Theme Hospital. Loved that freaking game. Great Interview Tricky!
I’ll be honest with you, Patrick, I definitely want, if we had a few people with that enthusiasm here at 22 Cans, then our changes of success would go up exponentially, I think.
This piece is the best thing you've done at Giant Bomb @patrickklepek
An incredibly fascinating event and interview. My respect for Peter has just gone through the roof, he seems like a brilliant guy. Glad to see he enjoyed the jam.
I've never really heard Molyneux speak, so I just kept hearing Vinny's impression of him through this entire thing.
I never noticed how often Patrick talks about "having this sense of...(something)." Still I am truly envious of the guy that gets to interview P Moly as well as other video game industry dudes. I love this hobby a whole lot and it takes creative giants like Molyneux to keep it interesting. Very cool story keep up the great job.
Great interview. I've always liked Molyneux, even when it became the mode du jour to be critical of him.
This is a pretty great interview. Yeah, I still consider Peter Molyneux the master of underdelivering, but it's clear that the man can talk him some talk.
I do find it funny that as much as I liked some of his later games, Populous is still probably my favorite of his games, and that's the one he did all the programming on. I definitely think it shows how hard it is to take a creative or grand idea and implement it when you're working with a giant team trying to put your vision together in a mass market way. And as a former programmer I definitely emphasize with losing the hands on feel of actually digging through code.
Though I suppose much of my Populous love might be nostalgia.

Good interview, but can we give this stupid molyjam shit a rest now?

Don't like, then don't read it or comment on said article, simple and concise!
Two things makes me teary-eyed in this interview.
1. the mention of Syndicate, Dungeon Keeper, Populous, Magic Carpet, Black & White and Theme Park. If the ever where any games that nurtured my life long interest in the media, it was these games. On top of that I really loved The Movies... why oh why did I ever doubt Peter Molyneux?
2. The idea of a room full of smart, young, eager people with the same interest as me... what am I doing here? No, I mean, what THE HELL am I doing here??
Great interview and a really inspiring read.
