Peter Moore was the Chief Operating Officer of EA, responsible for product development, global product management, marketing, and planning for all packaged goods and online offerings.
Just another stereotype. Obama belongs to the group of people that assumes everyone who plays video games is out of shape and fat. I find it ironic that he smokes cigarettes and is slowly killing his lungs and he's telling kids to get outside.
That was a pretty stupid statement by Obama. Playing videogames =/= being in shape or going outside often. Though I can't see what Moore is trying to accomplish.
I respect what Peter Moore is saying and as much as I think that children should be taught to take some time out to exercise, it's interesting that Obama choose to place the blame on video games rather than TV or movies. As much as I like Obama this was one particular statement he made that I wasn't quite so happy with, but I kinda of feel like Moore's statement was more about promoting his games than displaying any particular political view.
Obama ain't completely wrong, though you can be thin and play videogames all day, it has more to do with what you snack on while playing games, if more parents would stop buying junk food in bulk and non-diet soda then they'd at least be thin, low on stamina, antisocial people. Rather than adding fat to the mix.
