Announced in this week’s edition of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, Phantasy Star Zero sees players embarking on a new aventure on the Nintendo DS.  There are some notable names are onboard, with Toshiyuki Kubooka crafting character designs and mystery novel writer Teru Arai aiding former series writer Tooru Shiwasu in forging a new story.

The Famitsu report confirms four-player online features over Nintendo’s Wi-Fi connection, and although details remain sketchy at this point in time, it’s likely to be an all-out co-operative affair. Voice Chat is present, and interestingly also allows for sketches to be drawn and sent via touch screen ala PictoChat.

im interested.  i hope the online is accessible as that was what made the original PSO so special.

If this hits state side I will definatley be pickin this up,I played PSO on the DC to death,and now portable with online play? HELL YEAH

This looks awesome, is the PSP one ever going to get localized?

Not usually into these sorts of games, but I quite liked the Dreamcast/Gamcube Phantasy Star games.

I might consider getting this, the online sounds like it could be good.

this does sound cool. I missed out on the original. i was stuck playing to much PS2. This would be a great change to play it.
