Overview
Picture Puzzle is a sliding picture puzzle game developed and published by
HAL Laboratory, Inc. for the
MSX in Japan in 1983.
Gameplay
The gameplay in Picture Puzzle is very simple. The game takes an image, places it in a 4 x 4 square, and then mixes up the image. The game then removes one of the pieces and the object of the game is to reconstruct the original image. The player can only move one piece at a time and must move a piece adjacent to the empty square, into the empty square.
The game keeps track of how much time is takes the player to solve a puzzle. The player also has the option to use a help. The player has 5 helps available from the start of the puzzle. Picture Puzzle supports one or two players.
