Pidgey is very common in forests and woods. It is also the gentlest and easiest bird ti capture. When on the ground, Pidgey flaps its wings extra hard to kick up sand and dust that blinds its opponents. Its gust power creates tornadoes. Capturing a Pidgey is a good test of a beginning trainer's battle techniques.

    Trivia

    • Pidgey, when first encountered in a Generation 1 game, has Gust as its basic move. However, in a Gereation 2 game, its basic move is tackle, as Gust must now be learnt at level 9, and has changed from a normal-type move to a flying-type.
