Pilotwings Resort is a flight simulation video game for the Nintendo 3DS handheld game console, developed by Monster Games and published by Nintendo. Similarly to its predecessors, it was confirmed as a launch title in North America and Europe.

Is this supposed to be the "Wii Sports" on the 3DS?

So Wii Sports was a great game at introducing alot of people to the Wii and its controls and features, old and young alike. Is Piotwings Resort supposed to be the game that indtroduces people to the 3DS?

Everything I hear says that Super Street Fighter IV 3D is the best centerpiece for the 3DS by far.  This just seems like a small tech demo.  If it was the Wii Sports of the 3DS, they probably should have included it with the system.

They probably should have included it with the system regardless.

It seems 3DS doesn't really have it's own Wii Sports, or Super Mario 64 for that matter. Yes, Street Fighter is a perfect port, portable and in 3D, but it's not for everyone and certainly won't reel the kids and soccer moms in like Wii Sports or even a New (New?) Super Mario Bros. would.

The  3DS "Wii Sports" is Face Raiders.  It's designed to be passed around, and everyone is able to play with little to no explanation. Large, dumb grins follow almost immediately. (Pilotwings is still awesome.)

No, it's supposed to be the "Pilot Wings" of the 3DS, strangely enough.

Pilot Wings was a launch title for the SNES it played to the strengths of that systems standout plane and sprite scaling 3D feature called Mode 7.
    Notice any similarity here?

Yeah, Face Raiders is the Wii Sports of the 3DS. It's a great way to show all your friends how ridiculous they look as a floating helmet demon.
