Pittsburgh is located in western Pennsylvania, and has a population of 334,563. Pittsburgh features over 150 high-rise buildings, which overlook the Allegheny, Monongahela and Ohio Rivers.

In Games

Pittsburgh is not typically seen as a locale for videogames beyond sports games which feature teams from the city. The current arenas/venues from Pittsburgh include:

Heinz Field (NFL Football/NCAA Football): Heinz Field is located on the North End of the city, and is the home field for the Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Franchise, as well as the University of Pittsburgh Panthers NCAA football team. Though the Panthers play at Heinz Field, their campus is on the other end of town.

Mellon Arena (NHL Hockey): Mellon Arena (aka "The Igloo") is located in the Hill District area of Pittsburgh, near downtown. The Pittsburgh Penguins call Mellon Arena home, but will be moving into a new arena across the street in 2010.

PNC Park (Major League Baseball): Frequently called the best stadium in Major League Baseball, PNC Park sits next to the Allegheny river, on the North End of town. The Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team plays here. PNC Park is located very close to Heinz Field.

Petersen Events Center (NCAA Basketball): The Petersen Events Center, located at the University of Pittsburgh in the Oakland region of Pittsburgh, is the home court for the Pitt Panthers NCAA basketball team.

An upcoming DLC pack for Fallout 3 will be set in the ruins of Pittsburgh, which was destroyed by nuclear attacks like the rest of the United States.
